(One of my lovely Male Sewers kindly submitted these pictures of the dress made from this pattern. He used scuba crepe for the dress in the three different colours, a metre of each one, and they were £6.99 each, and   it took two days to complete. SUPER!)

(One of my other lovely customers Amy in the USA made this dress for her niece, as seen in the pictures. She states

” I used ponte fabric, a synthetic double knit with two-way stretch.  I lined the dress in slightly stretchy beige polyester “silk,” tracing the silhouette of the dress directly onto the lining fabric and allowing for normal seam allowance. The complete job, from fabric purchase to final hand-stitching, took me about 80 hours, spaced over 3 weeks.   It involved cutting and adjusting all the colour blocks and varied width black stripes — so that the effect matched the proportions of the runway dress image I used as a model. The Vogue pattern you provided was simplified for home sewers, so I had to estimate placement and proportions of each colour block and stripe. Note how the black stripes are integrated throughout, to minimize bulk. Total cost for fabric and notions (not including pattern) was around $80.”
