One of my UK buyers Diane made this dress for a theatre production by the Alnwick Stage Musical Society for “Made in Dagenham”.
Diane added: Dress took 12 hours to make from start to finish, including pattern modifications (length and sleeves) and making a toile beforehand. Fabric is a light wool mix boucle style fabric with a medium weight to maintain the A-line shape of the dress. It was £13/metre and I used 2.75m at 1.35m wide. The collar and front placket have a soft medium weight interlining to maintain strength and shape. The buttons are 3.5cm white ‘clown’ buttons purchased on ebay. AMAZING CREATION! What a STUNNING example of this pattern, this incredible work truly captures the essence of that 1960s charm. I am thoroughly impressed! Thank you Diane xx
